Illuminair - air pump lamp

The air pump lamp plays with a person's notions of the action required to turn on a lamp. Rather than flipping a switch, air is pumped into the lamp. As more air fills the lamp more of the fluorescent bulb is revealed. The resulting impression is that of being able to fill a room with light by simply moving air. Releasing a valve allows air to escape and lowers the bulb back into the tube. A Coil bug complements the design storing necessary fluorescent electronics.

The Illuminair functions beautifully as both atmospheric lighting in a dark corner of a room as well as task lighting for reading or general space light.

1" dia. tube, 69" to 80" height (adjustable).
