[ ] fuse - objectified definitions in product design Beginning
with the many meanings and implications of the word, ELSEWARE began the
design process for fuse in the fall of 2000. As momentum grew, ideas flew,
and the word was broken down into several permutations for exploration,
namely: confuse (Perry Dixon), defuse (Oliver Beckert),
diffuse (Janet Villano), infuse (Joel Hoag), and refuse
(Daniel Harper). These words and ideas served as both metaphorical
and literal springboards from which the products of this show emerged. Please click the prefixes above to explore the online [ ] fuse exhibition. Front
